I just got a call from Vicki telling me that Julie Babcock told her to tell me to update my blog, so here you go Julie and everyone else.......:) I have been meaning to do this but have been pre-occupied with getting things ready for our trip. For anyone reading this that doesn't know me, if you are thinking of robbing us while we are gone (that is if you can figure out where we live) don't. We have people house sitting, so there.
It was last Friday when I was in town running errands and I was pulling into the parking lot of Costco in Sandy that I received a text from my sister. For anyone that may have ever been to this Costco the entrance is rather strange so I concentrated on getting a parking spot and then I would respond back to her once I had parked. As I was walking into the store I read it "Hey, Brother and Sister Brock are here (meaning at the shop) do you want to talk to them?" I wrote back quickly and said "am I suppose to know these people?". She responded with "they are in Little Kenny's ward". I immediately dialed the shop and when my niece answered I said "get your mom on the phone this is very important". My sister was laughing because she understands how excited I would be to talk to someone that sees Kenny on a regular basis. She gave the phone to Brother Brock and he told me how much he and his wife love Kenny. He said that Kenny's companion is one of the greatest missionaries they have seen in a very long time. Which of course thrilled me to pieces because now I know that he is being trained by a great servant of the Lord. He said many nice things about Kenny which I won't share (don't want anyone to think I am bragging, although I would love to.....:) and I told him how grateful Ken and I were to him and his wife for taking such good care of our son. I was crying by now, which most of you would expect from me. So I got off the phone and finished my shopping with spurts of tears throughout my Costco journey. I called Ken which made it even worse! I was so happy to get that call, it made feel just a tiny bit connected to Kenny if even for a brief minute. It really made my day.
On Saturday while I was shopping with my sister in law and Jessica I got a call from Ken. He said "did you get a call from Texas?" of course I was immediately uneasy until he said that he had just gotten a call from someone named Patrick. It was someone that Kenny had baptized out in the mission field. He was actually sitting across from Kenny having lunch and he told Ken how much he loved Kenny and so on and so on (once again, don't want to bore you with details). He was very kind and the conversation came to an end. Ken actually heard Kenny laughing in the background (what I would have given to even hear him laughing). It made his day to receive that phone call just like it did when I got mine.
It is funny that we both get calls from someone that knows Kenny from the mission field in two days time. Perhaps we needed a little reassurance. I am not sure why it happened we are just grateful that it did and to know that Kenny is doing exactly what he should be doing. We continue to be amazed at the growth he shows in his letters and how grateful we are that he is serving the Lord.

I lOVE this man!

I was thinking this morning that I wanted to add a picture of Kenny and tell a story about him and I can't find the one I wanted so this will have to do until I can upload the one I want. Everyone that knows me knows that I have sort of a fairy tell marriage, at least I think so. I have a husband that loves me unconditionally, he lets me buys shoes to the point of it being ridiculous without saying a word.......:), he is undertanding, loving, kind, funny (sometimes too funny), and most importantly he honors his Priesthood. I know that all of you feel the same way as well about your husbands. But I felt that I needed to say this and tell you what he did for me, it is a small thing but SO thoughtful none the less. I always have a standing appointment to have my nails done every 2 weeks (I know, I know but I like having them done), anywho, he went in to the salon and paid for me to have a pedicure the next time I get my nails done because we are going on a cruise very soon after my that appointment and he wanted me to have one so my feet look good! How sweet is that?

These are the newest addition to the family

Well, we went shopping yesterday looking for T-shirts for Kenny to wear on the trip and we found these. Kenny insisted (no, he really did) that I bring them home to sit on the shelf in my closet. Yes, they will look very nice sitting in there. They will also look REALLY good on my feet. I will admit they are the craziest shoes I own but I can't wait to wear them.

This is my closet. I know the purses don't look very tidy but it is hard to keep them straight just sitting on a shelf. I am going to invent a purse organizer and become a millionaire!
This is the shelf where my new shoes will live!!! Of course I had to take a shot of my closet, it is one of my most favoritest places in the house. Those of you who know me well understand that right?????????
I thought I would add some pictures of the house because everyone keeps asking me for them. This is the kitchen......duh........................:)
Here is the family room, oh yeah and Ken too!

Little Kenny still continues to have success and he loves being out there. His letters are positive and he talks about the investigators he is teaching. He told me their names so I can pray for them individually, check out his blog to get the names for yourself...........:) He also says he appreciates hand written letters, please!!!

The weather is nothing short of CRAZY up here. I think you can actually have all 4 seasons in one day. Yesterday it snowed, again, and today the sun is shining. They told us not to get use to it though with more rain coming next week. Tahiti here we come!!!!!

I thought I would let everyone see what I get to look at from my family room window today. Yes, once again snow!!!! It was yesterday that I noticed I could see the "entire" front yard as far as actually seeing the grass. Now I am afraid we are back to square one. They say to expect the same tomorrow. Our elevation is 6,300 feet so if they rain in Salt Lake you can bet we are getting the white stuff.

It was crazy this morning with snow, thunder and lightening. I woke up, looked out the window and went back to bed until 8:00, I just couldn't take it.....:) I want to plant flowers and work in my yard and they tell me that I can't really plant until early June. What!!!! Are you kidding me.

I talked to Michele Holm today and I was telling her I am getting a job. I can not stand this any longer. We are going on a trip in April and then as soon as we get back I am getting a job. I am ready to be a greeter at Walmart I am so bored. Well not really that bored but very close to it.
